The Enchanting Textiles of Yuri Himuro
There's no better way to brighten up an old sofa than to add a few colourful cushions or throws, especially if the fabrics are as heart-warming as those created by Yuri Himuro.
The talented Japanese textile designer launched the Bloom collection of blankets at the Salone Satellite in Milan this year. The blankets show floral patterns on one side and contrasting foliage on the other, all executed in a contemporary graphic style in vibrant colours. Since the patterns are woven using high quality wool on a jacquard loom, the fabric is luxuriously soft to touch with a satisfyingly plush texture. We also like the Snip Snap Satoyama collection of fabrics, which are cleverly woven in a double layer. The top layer can be snipped off to reveal a contrasting pattern on the bottom layer, which allows the user to customise the fabric. These are all part of Yuri Himuro's mission to surprise and delight users through their interaction with her unique fabrics. We are totally enchanted!

A great way to brighten up your room is to apply a brightly printed wallpaper such as the Rainforest wallpaper from Mind The Gap or a decorative mirror such as the Sunset Mirror from Ghidini 1961. The beautifully colourful Sunset vase from Incipit will do the trick too!
