The Gentry Extra Light sofa, designed by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso, is a contemporary interpretation of the classic values suggested by its name: timeless elegance imbued with a sense of superior confidence. The generous proportions of the seat reinforces the emphasis on comfort, whilst the gentle curve of the seat back and arms create a sense of informality, inviting you to sit back and indulge. The curve also, unusually, makes the sofa interesting to look at from behind. The selection of Moroso's exclusive chunky quilted fabric together with the scatter of plush cushions brings the style of the sofa right up to date, perfect for the modern gentry and contemporary loungers alike.
Gentry is a modular sofa system with endless opportunities for customisation. Different elements can be combined to create multiple configurations, from simple two or three seater sofas to extravagant U or L shape arrangements with chaise longue, peninsulas and backless units. The covers of the sofa are removable and can be upholstered in a huge range of fabrics, including leathers and COM.
The Gentry Extra Light sofa is a new version of the Gentry sofa. It has longer feet, slimmer seat cushions and a higher seat back compared to the original version, creating a sense of poise and lightness.
