Alexander McQueen's fashion design genius is beyond doubt, but his interior design skills are somewhat less remarked on. Now is the chance for ardent McQueen fans to experience a slice of his creative vision, if they have GBP 8.5 million to spare.
This beautifully decorated penthouse is part of a building in the heart of Mayfair which used to be the residence of PD Wodehouse. McQueen purchased the apartment in 2009, drew up detailed renovation plans but sadly passed away before the works were complete and had therefore never lived there. The current owners decided to realise his extravagant vision as an homage to the fashion designer.

What we love:
The extensive mirrored surfaces, pared-back monochrome colour palette and layers of sumptuous fabrics work well to create a contemporary Art Deco look. We particularly like the use of huge framed photographs to line the walls.
What we would do:
We would probably suggest chandeliers with more contemporary and artistic designs. A good collection of contemporary art would look great here.
