Visioni Rug by Patricia Urquiola for cc-tapis

Woven Perspective

Visioni Rug by Patricia Urquiola for cc-tapis

Graphic designs which play on perspectives may be old hat, but to apply such designs to rugs?  Now that's fresh.

The Visioni rugs, which come in two versions, feature clever graphic designs with blocks of colours in distorted perspectives, thereby creating a 3D impression.  This playful design is the result of a collaboration between Patricia Urquiola, the prolific designer well known for her contemporary aesthetic, and cc-tapis, the Milan-based carpet specialist.  Hand-knotted by craftsmen in Nepal using a rich blend of Himalayan wool and silk, the rugs look intriguing on the floor and even more impactful on the wall.

Product Inspiration

We love the stunning visual effect of the Visioni rugs.  For something equally clever check out the Lake rugs, designed by Raw Edges for Golran.

For lighting which creates a special visual effect try the Moire wall light from New Works.  We also like the seemingly never ending loop of the Link suspension light from LZF and the conjoined shades of the Lampscapes floor light from Frederik Roije.

Another great way to create cool visual effects is to use wallpapers from NLXL.  These feature photo-realistic designs with no pattern repeats, offering great design potential.
