Often we take simple things in life for granted and fail to appreciate the value they add. Not so for Robin Pleun Maas, whose mother's gradual loss of her eyesight inspired the designer to create a collection of playful glasses which showcase and celebrate the gift of vision.
Made of mirror, beads and brightly coloured plastic components connected by elastic cords, these glasses transform into fun and quirky fashion accessories with just a few twists and clicks. At last we have glasses which put the fun into functional.
Robin Pleun Maas is a graduate of the Design Academy Eindhoven and Precious Sight is part of her graduation project.
Fun and quirky furniture is just what you need to bring some cheer to your living space. We love the Toadstool sofa from Missana, the Meduse coffee table from Casamania and the Bold chair from Moustache.
Accessories is a great way to introduce humour into everyday life. Try the Goat mug from Goat Story, the Crawl silicone container from Finell and, for a bit of indulgence, what about the Here (Thimble) ice bucket from Ghidini 1961?
