Text Block by Pini Leibovich for Tre Product

We love a good modular shelving system so we were more than excited when we came across Text Block at Maison & Objet in Paris.

Designed by Pini Leibovich for new Polish design brand Tre, the Text Block shelving system comprises just one modular frame made of strong thermally treated beech.  Endless combinations can be created by stacking the frame in different angles and attaching them to each other using steel bases, which come in either single or double sizes.  The frame features an unusual "middle handle", which functions cleverly as a bookend or a divider depending on the composition.  It also gives the shelves a strong graphic presence and makes compositions look delightfully random.  Perfect as a room-divider or to brighten up a dull wall.

Product Inspiration

We love clever shelving systems and few are as clever as the ABC bookcase from Saporiti, which turns letters into stackable shelves which can be used to spell out words and messages.  For a striking and delightfully random look try the Longlegs shelving unit from Frederik Roije.  If you are looking for something completely customisable and versatile look no further than the Stick shelving system from Menu.

We also like the Landa wall shelving system from Alki, which can be customised with different fabric backgrounds, the classic architecture inspired Renaissance modular shelves from Seletti and the super lightweight Opus Incertum bookshelf from Casamania.
