Eleanor Home is based in Denmark, where all the lamps are manufactured, painted and assembled by hand. The quality of the materials and production are so high that all the lamps (except the ones with textile cables) can be used outdoors, even if exposed to the harshest elements. The design of the lights are remarkable in their simplicity: the classic "factory" shape of the lampshade updated subtly to create a distinctive silhouette that feels contemporary yet instantly recognisable at the same time. Moreover, some of the models (which include table lights and wall lights) can be specified in up to 20 colours, from typical industrial shades of grey and metallic silver to more adventurous hues of mint green, burnt orange and rose pink.
The lamps are a paean to timeless design and commitment to quality, a good example of great Scandinavian design.
