Abstraction Tables by Roxanne Flick

Cubist Furniture

Abstraction Tables by Roxanne Flick

Roxanne Flick's Abstraction tables are inspired by the pioneers of Cubism.  Artists such as Braque and Picasso split images into abstract components and reassembled them in a disjointed manner, in so doing created a new way of looking at the world around us.

Roxanne Flick's tables, similarly, turn familiar components (legs and tops) in different materials (bamboo, steel, marble) into movable modules which allow users to recompose the tables in different forms.  An ordinary piece of furniture is thus transformed into an interactive and thought provoking talking point which is functional and sculptural at the same time.  Perfect for budding artists.

Product Inspiration

Create your own abstract art inspired designed scheme using furniture with strong geometric shapes such as the Element table and the Mini Clay occasional table, both from Desalto, and the Bold chair from Moustache.

Use lights with standout shapes to make a bold design statement, whether it is something flamboyant such as the Anfora suspension light from LZF, understated such as the Dancing pendant light from Menu, or whimsical such as the Lampscapes suspension light from Frederik Roije.

Accessories with sculptural shapes are a great way to add interest to any design scheme.  The Slide serving tray from Finell is beautifully refined as well as functional.  The Hara candle from Andrej Urem has a stunning shape, as does the Knotted Cherry container from Ghidini 1961.
