Aussitalian Design by SP01
Furniture design from down-under may have been under the radar, but that is set to change with emerging design brand SP01.
Based in Australia with manufacturing in Italy and design from around the world, the young brand has created a collection of tables, chairs and sofas inspired by contemporary cosmopolitan lifestyle with an Australian spin. The simple, elegant forms and use of "authentic" materials such as solid ash and steel recalls the down-to-earth nature of Australians. We also like the outdoor furniture range (including the Parisi table and Chee chair), the stylish yet rigorous design reflecting the Australian passion for the outdoor lifestyle as well as the tough and unforgiving landscape of the country. This is a sleek, high quality and great looking collection that would bring a dash of sunny Australian optimism to anywhere in the world.
SP01's new collection debuted at the Archiproducts shop on via Tortona 31 in Milan during the Milan Design Week and will remain there until April 2018.
