Airplane trolleys have long been a favourite target of upcycling projects by designers but few have been as ambitious as Studio Knol and Christiaan Bakker, who were commissioned by KLM to create a multi-functional cabinet from a "cluster" of airplane trolleys.
The striking cabinet-shelf-table retains the familiar details of airplane trolleys, from castor wheels to handlebars. The multiple compartments are designed to accommodate the needs of the urban nomad who wants to "fit your whole life in a box". Perfect for aspiring trolley-dollies and those who want to capture the romance of flying (pre-budget airline days, of course).
Customised "clusters" of the Trolleys closet is now available to order from Studio Knol.

We are big fans of Bordbar's airplane trolleys, which are all brand new and can be customised with different external graphics and with a broad selection of drawers and other inserts.
Inspired by the Trolleys cabinet and ready to do some travelling? Don't leave home without our travelling essentials: the Bellows tote bag from Nava, a Storage.it notebook from Marks and a Goat mug portable coffee holder from Goat Story.

There was a time when the use of marble was largely restricted to floors, posh kitchen counters and grave statutes. And then, at some point around the mid-noughties, marble was everywhere. Could the same be happening to terrazzo?
