Triangles Rug - Trianglehex Sweet Green

by Golran

The Triangles Rug, designed by Bertjan Pot for Golran, is made with the kilim technique, created with a new spirit incorporating ancient techniques into modern styles using the finest wools, silks, and natural materials.

The design starts with an investigation into the weaving technique of the kilim in order to emphasise the diagonal lines and horizontal features.  The distinctive pattern is based on the geometric form of the triangle, reiterated to form a grid of different patterns, from which diamond and hexagonal shapes emerge. The colours present contrasting tones, creating woven kaleidoscopic rugs.

The Triangles Collection is available in 9 patterns, each of which is available in multiple sizes. They work well in traditional and contemporary settings and are appropriate for use in private and public spaces.

Bertjan Pot is a Dutch furniture designer who graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 1988.  His work focuses on the technological research of materials, patterns, colour palettes, and the textures of fabrics; with such material research forming the general starting point for almost every project.  He has worked with a large number of leading design brands including Moooi, Montis, Established & Sons and Moustache.
