The Stapelliege Stacking Bed is a practical and comfortable bed designed by Rolf Heide for Mueller (or Müller) Möbelwerkstätten. Designed in 1966, the Stacking Bed has become a bestseller due to its simplicity, functionality and superb quality. Multiple beds can be stacked together when not in use, making it ideal for small spaces or emergency sleepovers. It is perfect for guest rooms, children's rooms or student flat shares. When two beds are stacked together it also works well as a sofa.
The Stacking Bed is offered as a single bed (mattress size W 90 x L 200 cm) in 2 different heights and 4 different finishes. The bed comes with a rollable slatted frame and a 7-zones cold foam mattress. In addition, the bed can also be ordered to fit mattress widths from 80 to 180 cm and lengths in 190 to 220 cm. There is also a children's version with mattress size of W 70 x L 140 cm. Other finishes, slatted frames, mattresses and accessories are also available, please enquire for more details.
Rolf Heide has run his own design studio in Hamburg since 1960. He has collaborated with many acclaimed companies such as Bulthaup, Gaggenau, Vorwerk and Alfi, and designed one of Müller's most iconic product: the Stapelliege stacking bed.
