The 1.3 Stool Low, designed by Kihyun Kim for Zeitraum, is a compact and lightweight stool made in solid oak or American walnut. The thin profile of the seat provide the impression that the stool is floating on air. In fact, the original prototype of the chair belonging to this same 1.3 collection, which was made in balsam wood, weighed only 1.3 kg, hence the name. The compact frame, small footprint and elegant simplicity of the 1.3 Stool Low makes it ideal for use in busy spaces such as cafes and restaurants and also in small living spaces at home.

Variants
The 1.3 Stool Low is available in solid oak or American walnut (in natural finishes). In addition the oak version of the stool can also be stained in 11 different colours, with the possibility of the seat and frame being stained in different colours. The seat of the stool can also be upholstered in fabric or leather. Please contact us for more information on these options.

Designer
Kihyun Kim, born in South Korea in 1979, studied Design Product at the Royal College of Art in London and graduated in 2011. As part of his graduation project he designed the 1.3 Chair, which was nominated for the Design of the Year award by the Design Museum of London in 2012. He has been working independently since then, specialising in industrial design across furniture, electronic products and living accessories. His design ethos is based on continuously exploring and embracing new types of materials, shapes and technologies, with a constant eye on simplicity.

Brand
Zeitraum was founded in Wolfratshausen near Munich in 1990, specialising in solid wood furniture with emphasis on sustainability and contemporary design. Zeitraum products are characterised by sleek, minimalist designs, attention to detail and exceptional quality. Their chairs, tables, beds and other collections can be found in high-end residential projects as well as commercial spaces such as hotels and restaurants around the world.

Delivery - United Kingdom
The UK delivery charge for this product is based on order value, including free delivery for orders above certain values. You can check these charges at the Shopping Cart or Checkout.

Delivery - Outside United Kingdom
Charges for deliveries outside the UK vary depending on size and weight of the product and will be shown at the Shopping Cart or Checkout. You can also contact us for a custom delivery cost quotation.

Our shipping charges exclude import duties, local taxes and other applicable charges which may be levied as the goods reach your country.
