The Luna cabinet is a an eye-catchingly original cabinet designed by Patricia Urquiola for Coedition. The cabinet takes the form of a large drum-shaped shelf resting on two intersecting X-shaped planks of MDF, the end result somewhat resembling a face or perhaps a lighthouse. The drum-shaped shelf is divided into two compartments: the upper half functions as an open shelf whilst the lower half works as a cupboard with two swivelling covers. This extraordinary and lovable design is perfect as a centrepiece in a quirky design scheme.
Patricia Urquiola is one of the most influential furniture designers working today. She was born in Oviedo in Spain but now lives and works in Milan. Urquiola trained as an architect and worked with Achille Castiglioni and Piero Lissoni before starting her own studio in 2001. She has since designed numerous products for leading furniture brands including Moroso, B&B Italia, Molteni & C and Kartell. Urquiola’s designs are unconventional, emphatic and experimental; blending humanist sensibilities and technical expertise – qualities that also inform her work as an architect.

Chariot, designed by GamFratesi for Casamania, is a mobile table consisting of three simple elements joined together: wheels, trays and structure. The wheels, usually small in ordinary trolleys, are enlarged to an exaggerated size here, becoming the defining feature of the product. The Chariot trolley is a winner of the Interior Innovation Award in 2013.
The Chariot works well as a practical trolley for every day use. Rubber tracks are incorporated into the wheels for easy movement, the two trays act as storage compartments, whilst the metal structure is also a handle: just raise the handle slightly and move the trolley anywhere!
GamFratesi is the design studio founded by Danish architect Stine Gam and Italian architect Enrico Fratesi. With this dual cultural background, GamFratesi draws on the Danish furniture and craft tradition as well as the Italian design approach to create products with embedded stories, symbols and associations expressed in minimalist forms.

The Concrete Cloud Toilet Paper Shelf, designed by Bertrand Jayr for Lyon Beton, adds poetry, humour and singularity to rooms so often deprived of these qualities. This unique shelf, with its curved, graphic and refined lines, is designed for toilet paper rolls which are deliberately displayed and no longer hidden. The shelf gradually takes the shape of a cloud and lightly reminds us of “the great outdoors”.
Lyon Beton specialises in designing and manufacturing concrete furniture and accessories. Fascinated by the technical and plastic possibilities of this material, Lyon Beton worked for 5 years to develop a unique type of concrete, reinforced with metal wire and fibre, specifically for the production of furniture. The end product is not only relatively light, but is also extremely hard wearing and easy to maintain; ideal for use indoors and outdoors, for both private and public spaces.

The design draws inspiration from the captivating beauty of butterflies, a constant source of fascination for artists since ancient times. By combining single hooks, coats move from hook to hook like butterflies dancing from one flower to another: The Butterfly Coat Hook is charming, poetic and practical at the same time.
