Bold is a modular sofa system designed by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso. The sofa's chunky, rounded shape not only looks bold but also feels friendly and welcoming at the same time. The prominent seams of the covers is a distinctive feature of the sofa, designed partly to reduce the number of seams in the upholstery to a minimum. The design of the Bold sofa is an effective blend of sleek and casual, making it perfect for use at home and in public spaces.
Bold is a modular sofa system with endless opportunities for customisation. Different elements can be combined to create multiple configurations, from simple two or three seater sofas to extravagant U or L shape arrangements with chaise longue, peninsulas and backless units. The covers of the sofa are removable and can be upholstered in a huge range of fabrics, including leathers and COM. In addition, the metal feet of the sofa can be specified in either anthracite grey or a bright oxidored.

Patricia Urquiola is one of the most influential furniture designers working today. She was born in Oviedo in Spain but now lives and works in Milan. Urquiola trained as an architect and worked with Achille Castiglioni and Piero Lissoni before starting her own studio in 2001. She has since designed numerous products for leading furniture brands including Moroso, B&B Italia, Molteni & C and Kartell. Urquiola’s designs are unconventional, emphatic and experimental; blending humanist sensibilities and technical expertise – qualities that also inform her work as an architect.
Moroso is, without doubt, one of the best furniture brands in the world. Under the creative direction of Patrizia Moroso, the brand combines its manufacturing expertise (especially in sofas and seating) with creative input from leading designers such as Patricia Urquiola, Ron Arad and Nendo to create a broad range of furniture of unmatched quality and creativity. Moroso products work well for both private and public spaces and are ideal for making a strong design statement.
