Meteo Rug - Tumulte Purple

by Golran

The Meteo Rug, designed by Inga Sempé for Golran, is a contemporary reinterpretation of classic Persian rugs. Colours are used to create veritable soft patches similar to light clouds of embroidery. Using skilful artisan techniques from Nepal - similar to pointillism - the faded effect of the weft makes it possible to create a geometric design through blurred lines. The technique is based on the use of individual coloured threads of wool and silk for each point of the design, as if each knot is a single piece of a mosaic.

The Meteo Collection is available in three series: Halo, Mirage and Tumulte. Each one of them has two or three different designs and variations of colour. In total there are 7 designs: Halo Dark, Halo Light, Mirage Blue, Mirage Green, Tumulte Dark Blu, Tumulte Purple and Tumulte Red. Each design is available in multiple sizes. These rugs work well in traditional and contemporary settings and are appropriate for use in private and public spaces.

Inga Sempé is a French designer who, after collaborating with several design and interior architecture studios, opened her own studio in Paris in 2000.
