The Jack Fruit table lamp, designed by the Campana Brothers for Ghidini 1961, is a stunning design inspired by the prickly tropical fruit. The lamp is made up of two overlapping cylinders. The large stem supports a cylindrical lampshade decorated with multiple perforations, as if a thousand leaves had been bent by the wind. The perforated structure and the opening of the lampshade create evocative radiation of light, like rays passing through the dense foliage of a tropical forest.
The Jack Fruit lamp is available in two versions: entirely in brass (polished or satin) or diffuser in brass and base in rosewood wood.
Founded in 1983 in Sao Paulo by brothers Fernando (born 1961) and Humberto (born 1953) Campana, Estudio Campana became famous for its furniture design and the creation of intriguing objects such as the Vermelha and Favela chairs and has grown to include Interior Design, Architecture, Landscaping, Scenography, Fashion, Artistic Partnerships and more. The Campanas work incorporates the idea of transformation, reinvention and the integration of craftsmanship in mass production. Their research has always aimed at making precious common materials, not only through their creative skills and design potential but also thanks to their South American heritage, deeply Brazilian, which brings colors, blends, creative chaos and the triumph of simple solutions.
