Garden Of Eden Rug - June - Rectangular

Product
The Garden of Eden Rug, designed by India Mahdavi for Golran, is inspired by Persian gardens, creating a connection with a tradition belonging both to Golran’s history as well as Mahdavi’s eclectic background. The collection is characterised by a pattern of smooth leaves. Gradually overlapping towards the centre, the leaves seem to be swept by the wind, following the centuries-old tradition of Persian carpets' constant travelling. The first version of the “garden” is more classic, with its rectangular shape, a generously framed central decoration, and zigzags on its edges to replace the usual fringes. The second versions of the "garden" is created by removing the central pattern from the initial design, in order to reveal a wild garden with an irregular shape. This second version is suitable for adorning less conventional spaces: by breaking through the confines of shape and by adding movement, India Mahdavi offers a new interpretation of carpets inspired by Eastern gardens.
