The Fishbone tables are designed by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso. The tops are made with a unique acrylic manufactured by Sintetica, an acrylics specialist based in Italy. The acrylic panels in different colours are bonded together with a smooth, glossy finish and are arranged in a highly graphic design which showcases the vibrancy of the material.

Patricia Urquiola is one of the most influential furniture designers working today. She was born in Oviedo in Spain but now lives and works in Milan. Urquiola trained as an architect and worked with Achille Castiglioni and Piero Lissoni before starting her own studio in 2001. She has since designed numerous products for leading furniture brands including Moroso, B&B Italia, Molteni & C and Kartell. Urquiola’s designs are unconventional, emphatic and experimental; blending humanist sensibilities and technical expertise – qualities that also inform her work as an architect.

Treasure Table, designed by Frederik Roije, is an outsized mouth-blown glass jar with a cork top designed to be used as a container for displaying treasured objects, whilst functioning as an occasional table at the same time. The Mini Clay Table is a daringly original design by Marc Krusin for Desalto. The highly sculptural table comprises a round top balanced on top of an inverted cone, representing pure geometric forms in perfect harmony. The seemingly impossible construction is made possible by the clever use of a rigid polyurethane base, on top of which different tops are fitted. The Mini Clay Table works well as an eye-catching occasional table, especially for sculptural or minimalist design schemes.
