Spicy and Cool
The promise of spicy Thai food served in a contemporary, elegant interior space sounds irresistible, and it is one which the Ubon restaurant in Kuwait delivers in spades. Architects Rashed Alfoudari and Dawood Albader took inspirations from the rich Thai culture with elements such as charred wood panels and dome-shaped pendant lights balanced by touches of brass and sculptural wooden chairs in black and white. The restaurant exudes a sense of sophisticated yet relaxed cool, perfect antidote to the spicy food on offer.
