Disused and abandoned supermarket shopping trolleys always seem to have an air of melancholy about them, especially if they reside on the bottom of a canal. Dutch designer Etienne Reijnders has decided to breathe new life into old trolleys by refashioning them into sofas and chairs. The end products are surprisingly elegant and sculptural, even if they don't look like the most comfortable chairs to sit on. At least you won't need a £1 coin to unlock them.
