Thanks to Instagram, Pinterest and the omnipresence of advertising, it sometimes feels as if life is all about images. Jong Ha Choi, who just graduated from the Masters course at the Design Academy Eindhoven, questions this obsession and examines what happens if images took on lives of their own, literally. For his graduation project he created a series of tables made of metal panels which can be folded flat and hung on the wall as if they were pictures. When taken off the wall these can be unfurled to create 3D tables with a mechanism similar to how flat-packed cardboard boxes work. Perfect for living in micro-flats.
