Lauren Nauman is a ceramicist with an experimental bent. Her Lines series of vases, jars and dishes uses porcelain and brass in thin strips to create vessels which look rigid and fragile at the same time. The shapes are also intriguing: some look controlled and precise, others delightfully random; a beautiful exercise in contradictions.
Lauren Nauman is a graduate of the Royal College of Art (MA Ceramics & Glass) and the Lines Jars and Dishes are part of her graduation project.
Simple lines can create beautifully structured and elegant furniture, as the Afteroom dining chair and the FUWL cage table from Menu shows.
The Swirl and Poppy suspension lights from LZF shows how simple lines and curls can create beautiful forms.
We love the messy, organic feel of the flexible resin rings and bowls from Corsi as a contrast to the rigid structure of lines.

When it comes to summer living, few do so as effortlessly stylishly as the Italians. Consider the Masseria Le Torri, a beautifully restored 18th century farmhouse not far from the coastal town of Polignano a Mare in Puglia.
