The Art of Light by Lindsey Adelman

Paradise Found

The Art of Light by Lindsey AdelmanAmerican designer Lindsey Adelman recently captivated the crowds at the Alcova exhibition in Milan with her Paradise collection of lights.

Delicate orbs of mouth-blown glass are suspended from the ceiling with metal loops and chains, adorned with decorative lashings and fringes. The resulting chandeliers resemble elaborate necklaces which have been infused with a whimsical spirit.

This marriage of artisanal craftsmanship with industrial components is typical of Lindsey Adelman's work, which straddles the boundary between art and design. We also like the Kingdom chandeliers, bountiful like a generous bunch of grapes; the blossom-like Cherry Bomb chandeliers and the sleek yet organic Branching Bubble collection. These lights can all be custom-made to suit different spaces, from an intimate light over a dinner table to dramatic installations in lobbies and stairwells.
