Paradise Found
American designer Lindsey Adelman recently captivated the crowds at the Alcova exhibition in Milan with her Paradise collection of lights.
Delicate orbs of mouth-blown glass are suspended from the ceiling with metal loops and chains, adorned with decorative lashings and fringes. The resulting chandeliers resemble elaborate necklaces which have been infused with a whimsical spirit.
This marriage of artisanal craftsmanship with industrial components is typical of Lindsey Adelman's work, which straddles the boundary between art and design.
