Labirinti by Zanellato/Bortotto Studio
Collector's Haven
The urge to accumulate stuff is a natural instinct elevated into an art form by collectors who track down, acquire and catalogue their objects of desire with tireless zeal. This is the inspiration behind the Labirinti collection of furniture, designed by Giorgia Zanellato and Daniele Bortotto as a tribute to their dedication.
The Labirinti collection comprises a cabinet, shelf, console, coffee table and a seat made by De Castelli as well as a rug by CC Tapis. The furniture pieces feature a profusion of shelves in different shapes and sizes, all made of ultra-thin sheets of metal in alluring finishes of graphite, silver, dark bronze and purple. The myriad of compartments, some more practical than others, creates an irresistible invitation to squirrel away precious items. Together with the matching rug, these multi-functional storage units are a three-dimensional portrayal of a collector's compulsive obsessiveness which, unlike most collectors' display cabinets, look just as good empty as when are full.
