Jamie Wolfond's Industrial InspirationsThe starting point of Canadian designer Jamie Wolfond's designs are often mundane everyday objects or standard industrial processes. The end products, however, are far from ordinary.

The Stamp Lamp, for example, is a sculptural table lamp made of four identical pressed steel components attached together. The Diametric Jug bears the classic proportions of a water jug or wine bottle, but with a tubular handle which looks as if it had been split from the spout. We also like the Offset Crate, a modular shelving system based on crate-like open shelves with clever interlocking slats; the 401 aluminium table, featuring a duplicated base which looks as if something had gone awry; and the witty Wandering Planter, which is perfect for taking plants for a walk.
