It is Design Miami time and the city of cruise ships and art deco style hotels is fast becoming a must-visit design destination. At this year's event one exhibition that has caught our eye is the Railing Series of furniture currently on show at Gallery ALL.
Designed by architectural practice Aranda\Lasch, the two chairs and a stool are made of continuous loops arranged in fractal circles. The pieces may resemble a child's loopy doodle rendered in 3D but is in fact a clever exploration of the "language of arcs", a celebration of the endless nature of circles. Part sculptural and part functional, these furniture pieces are beautiful and fascinating in equal measures.
