Hinges on Show

Jelmer Wind, who has just graduated from the BA course at the Design Academy Eindhoven, is fascinated by door hinges.  So much so that he designed a wardrobe called Hinged to showcase the workings of hinges.  The wardrobe is made of bamboo strips, which allows the contents to be seen from the outside, but the real star of the show is the beautiful mechanical structure of the hinges at the corners of the cabinet, which are proudly exposed.

Part of the Design Academy Eindhoven 2015 Graduation show.
