The Do team travels a lot. For pragmatic reasons (the shoulder aches aren't getting better with age) we switched to using trolley bags a good few years ago, despite misgivings about how awful most of them look. A potential saviour could come in the form of the G-RO carry-on trolley bag designed by Shalgi Design Studio, which has already raised over US$ 750,000 on Kickstarter (compared to a target of US$ 125,000).
The sleek shape of the bag (which fits airline restrictions for carry-on luggage) is dominated by extra large, all terrain wheels which promise to eliminate the dreaded cobblestone rumbles without compromising on internal space. Other clever design features include an extra long ergonomic handle and well thought-out compartments. For extra geek-factor there is even a built-in charging station on top of the bag, powered by an optional "electronic module" which combines a battery pack with a location tracker and proximity detector. Delivery is planned for August 2016 and retail price is expected to be US$ 499 (with an extra US$ 99 for the electronic module). Wheelie cool!
