Space Suite at the Kameha Grand Hotel Zurich

Space Style Living

Fed up perhaps with earthly troubles such as austerity and the migrant crisis, space living is suddenly all the rage.  Love the style of movies such as The Martian and Interstellar but can't wait for the Virgin Galactic service to take off?  Take the next flight to Zurich and check into the Kameha Grand hotel, where artist Michael Najjar has created a space suite complete with specially selected furniture (Facett sofa by the Bouroullec brothers in cool space silver) and suitably spacey details such as a starry print ceiling and a floating bed.

The quirky details don't end there.  Upon entry to the suite, an automated female voice welcomes guests, sorry, "crew members", confirm their logins and offer "handling instructions" for the suite.  The bedroom is known as the "sleeping module" whilst the window of the "living module" is covered by mirror to mess with the senses of the "crew members".  This is one space station we don't mind being stranded in.
