Concrete Conversion

If a loft apartment is the ideal canvas to create an industrial look, then concrete must be the material of choice.  These 3 lofts in the same converted industrial building in Clerkenwell by Inside Out Architecture shows how this most industrial of materials can be harnessed to create interior spaces with real warmth and character.

The architects retained the original concrete beams, columns and ceiling and made them the focal point of all three apartments.  Light wood floors, neutral colour scheme, clever storage solutions, contrast of textures and standout features such as a beautiful concrete kitchen counter are ingredients used to create very different interiors to suit the different needs of the three owners, whether it is for a growing family or for a bachelor.
