Sculptural Sensations by RAIN
Sao Paolo based architect Ricardo Innecco and product designer Mariana Ramos work together as RAIN, where they have created a collection of furniture, lighting and accessories which showcase the striking beauty of minimalist sculptural shapes.
There is monumental boldness in the Arco lamps and Chains wall sculpture, in stark contrast to the super minimalist Ferrao wall light, which looks almost like a "slash" painting by Lucio Fontana. We also like the sculptural quality of the Babel tables, the Horizon bench's play on perspective as well as the surreal humour of the Swimming Pool tables and the Spheres chest of drawers. Sculptural style has never looked so chic.
The striking Monaco suspension light from Utu is a great way to create a focal point, as is the Agatha suspension light from LZF. The sculptural good looks of the Kizu table lamp from New Works shows that simple can be beautiful too.
