U Bench by Luur

Luur is a multi-disciplinary design studio from the US with a sleek, streamlined aesthetic which feels utterly fresh and contemporary.  Luur's designs include jewellery, lighting, furniture and landscapes, but our favourite Luur product is the U Bench.

The U Bench is made of two steel sections, each made from a single sheet of steel that has been rolled into a circular shape with a flat base.  The two sections are then joined together, one with the flat base facing up and the other facing down.  The end result is a sculptural occasional table or bench which reveals a perfect circle when viewed from the side.  Clever, elegant and very beautiful.

The Cape pendant light from Moustache and the Orbit wall light from LZF both have interesting sculptural shapes despite their simple construction.

Terrazzo Things from Lick My Brick
