Sunset Candles by Nendo

February 03, 2016

The Candle of the Setting Sun

Need something to liven up the long dark winter nights?  Prolific Japanese design studio Nendo has come up with a functional and poetic solution.

Inspired by the colours of the sunset sky, Sunset candles look like normal white block candles on the outside, but as they burn down, the centre of the candles change colour, from yellow, orange, red, purple to eventually blue.  The different colours also come with their individual scents (bergamot, lemongrass, sweet marjoram, lavender and geranium).  We can think of no better way to bring the romance of a beautiful tropical sunset to inside your home.
