Luxury Ski Chalet, Meribel: EUR 4,700,000 (£3,290,000)
Deluxe Apres Ski
Already fed up the hype and hysteria surrounding Christmas? What better way to get away from it all than to relax in a luxury chalet in classy Meribel.
What the agent says:
"Constructed with meticulous eye to detail and form this four bedroom detached Chalet sits in an elevated position in an exclusive private Chalet domain. Conceived and designed by a renowned Alpine development team, this Chalet provides spacious and well planned accommodation of nearly 400 msq over three floors."
What we love:
The clever mix of traditional materials such as reclaimed floorboards with modern elements such as glass and steel to create a refreshingly contemporary interior space. What with the open plan stainless steel kitchen, exposed steel girders and glass floor on the mezzanine, this could have been a loft in New York if it wasn't for the stunning Alpine views outside.
What can be improved:
Guaranteed powder on the slopes would be nice.
Prices and details correct as at 27 November 2015.
