If you are designing the lobby of a hotel with uninterrupted views of a beautiful beach, it would be wise to have as few distractions as possible. This is exactly what architects Department of Architecture achieved with the Hilton hotel at the Pattaya beach in Thailand.
The spacious lobby is dominated by an installation of wavy white fabrics on the ceiling, which draws visitors across the space and echoes the waves of the ocean outside. Back inside neutral tones and natural wood abound, enhancing the feeling of openness and serenity further. The overall ambience is relaxed, sophisticated and very inducive to lounging.
