At One With Nature
Nestled in the forests on the outskirts of Mexico City is an extraordinary house that is thoroughly contemporary yet completely at one with nature.
The large family house is constructed mainly with steel and concrete, with vast expanse of glass walls which offer uninterrupted views of the forest outside. The use of glass walkways (which give the impression of walking amongst the trees) and the extensive vegetation in the courtyards of the building (including a fully mature tree) brings the inhabitants even closer to nature. Inside the house is furnished sparsely but comfortably, the use of neutral colours complementing the many shades of green outside. This is a house which shows extraordinary sensitivity to its remarkable location and serves as a reminder of how clever design can bring nature indoors.

This house in the forest is a good example of how concrete and steel can work in perfect harmony with natural materials, especially wood.
