Vesper Occasional Table

Product
Vesper is a family of tactile and organic tables designed by Sebastian Herkner for Sancal. The design is inspired by nature, in particular the smooth, rounded pebbles found in riverbeds and by the sea. The pebble-shaped base of the table is made of Stonacril, an innovative composite of acrylic resins and minerals which results in a material which is not only highly resistant but also has a natural stone-like touch. Stonacril can also be specified for the table top for some sizes of the table. The Vesper family of tables comes in four heights to suit every need, including a mid-height table which can be used as a coffee table or a low dining table when teamed with lounge chairs. They are perfect for use at home or in public spaces, especially as part of natural or organic design schemes.

Variants
The Vesper Occasional Table comes in 3 heights and 3 table top sizes. The table top is available in stained solid slatted ash or white or tope-grey Stonacril board. The column is available in white or quartz-grey to combine with white or tope-grey Stonacril respectively. Designer
Sebastian Herkner started in fashion whilst still a student by working for Stella McCarney, where he learnt to appreciate fabric texture and structure. In 2006 he founded his own design studio and started to work with manufacturers from around the world: Classicon, De Vorm, Moroso and Nanoo. He combines his work as a designer with that of a lecturer at the Art and Design faculty of Offenbach. Following on from his Talo lounge chair, he has come back to Sancal to work on this stimulating and innovative project.

Brand
Sancal is a Spanish design furniture brand with the motto of “Smile, break the mould and be happy!”. Their products are contemporary, timeless and eclectic, combining a strong identity with substantial scope for customisation.
