Silo, designed by Filippo Castellani for Incipit, is a family of four ceramic containers which take their shape from the assembly of simple conical volumes creating striking effects with opposing diagonal lines. Silo has a double identity, underlined by both material and a chromatic contrasts: the colourful ceramic part contains and hides, while the natural wood top‐tray asks you to lay objects to display them.
Silo is a simple and multifunctional object, perfect for customising every room, in the kitchen as a food container, in the living room as a tray, in the bedroom and in the bathroom as a jewelry box or make‐up case. Just find your best way of using Silo: container, tray and bowl, vase and penholder, centrepiece or coin-tray.
Like every Incipit product, Silo is made in Italy by local artisans and craftsmen.
Italian designer Filippo Castellani was born in 1983 and graduated in 2010 in Industrial Design at the Università degli Studi di Firenze. He moved to London where he works as a product and industrial designer developing personal projects and collaborating on various studies and with international companies.
