She Dining Chair is an elegant and versatile chair designed by Eva Harlou for Mater. Both the seat and the backrest are made of FSC certified oak whilst the cane work is made of natural rattan - a fast-growing and naturally harvested material, especially selected because of its sustainability. The cane work is carefully blended onto the wooden oak frame in a third generation Danish wicker workshop, thereby combining an old craft tradition with the newest modern design technologies. The bended steel tubular frame gives the chairs all its flexibility and dynamism. The She Dining Chair is perfect for restaurants and kitchens, appropriate for both contemporary and classic design schemes and ideal for both private and contract use.
The He & She Chairs have been launched in 2019 in order to celebrate the 100 years anniversary of the German architect Walter Gropius who founded the Bauhaus school in 1919. Bauhaus was amongst the most influential modernist art schools of the 20th century.
The He Dining Chair and the She Dining Chair both support the UN Sustainable Development Goals: "Life on Land" (SDG 15), "Responsible consumption and production" (SDG 12) and "Partnerships for the goals" (SDG 17).
