Designed by Jean Louis Iratzoki, the Laia Bench has a wide array of possible combinations when it comes to materials: the wooden natural oak legs are topped with a seat which is available in fabric or leather. The rear covering is made from felt with 4 mm thickness, fabric or leather.
Ever since he opened his own workshop in 1998, Jean Louis Iratzoki has been committed to the creation of articles impregnated with an emotional value, where the respect for nature, character and restraint give form to a contemporary but simultaneously authentic product. A philosophy which has garnered diverse European awards.
Alki, which means "chair" in Basque, is a co-operative based in the French Basque country which has succeeded in blurring the boundaries between artisanal craftsmanship and industrial production for over 30 years. Under the artistic direction of Jean Louis Iratzoki, Alki's designs are contemporary and stunning in their simplicity, reflecting their continuous pursuit of purification. Alk's products are made in sustainable natural materials (especially oak) by highly skilled craftsmen who are deeply committed to quality, sustainable development and the co-operative economic model.
