Designed by Ionna Vautrin for Moustache, the Baobab Coffee Table is inspired by the unusual shape of a baobab tree, with its solid base tapering into 2 slender branches at different heights topped with foliage-like rotating trays. Sculptural and practical, the Baobab Coffee Table is sure to be a talking point, whether it's used as a bedside table or perhaps as a service table at the entrance of a house.
Ionna Vautrin was born in 1979 in France. She lives and works in Paris. Since 2002 she has worked successively for Camper in Spain, for George J. Sowden in Italy and for Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec in France. At the same time she developed her own projects with differents editors: starting with Industreal, the Tools Galerie, Wallpaper and more recently for Foscarini, Moustache, etc. She opened her own studio in January 2011 after receiving the Grand Prize of the creation of the city of Paris.
Moustache is a French design brand that brings together like-minded designers such as Francois Azambourg, Big Game and Matali Crasset to create furniture, lighting and interior accessories that are quirky and delightful in equal measures.
