Vilhelm Wohlert

A prolific architect and designer, Vilhelm Wohlert (1920–2007) trained, and later taught, at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen.  Alongside his work designing and restoring churches and royal castles, he is especially celebrated for the design of the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humbaek, Denmark.  Wohlert’s furniture and lighting have become design icons, thanks to the way they often employ structural elements to create sculptural effects.
