Time to brush up on your Latin: The name comes from the Greek words “philo” meaning "love, affection" and “dendron” meaning "tree". This humble houseplant may be overlooked as it hangs around in the home of most houseplant lovers. But behind the scenes, its beautiful decorative leaves have inspired some of the world's most respected artists from Eames to Erdem. Its rise to fame began in the 19th century when botanist Heinrich Wilhelm Schott identified 587 species of philodendron on an expedition in Brazil and brought them home to the Imperial Garden of Vienna. This plant is great for making your jungle massive - you can pin it across walls, drape it around picture frames or hang it from macrame.

Care Tips
Water: stick to a good drink once a week and always let it dry out in between. Love good drainage so don’t let them get waterlogged.

Temperature: Originate in very humid conditions where they can get water directly from the air, even during drier spells, so keep the humidity up with a good mist.

Light: grow well in both shaded and bright places but avoid direct light as they will scorch.

Standard UK delivery via Parcelforce in 3-7 days. Delays possible if product is not in stock. Please contact us for more details.

Delivery Charge
Flat rate delivery charge of £8. Does not qualify for free delivery, even if purchase is combined with other products.

Delivery - United Kingdom
We accept orders Monday - Friday with deliveries Tuesday to Saturday. We do not ship nationwide on Saturdays or Sundays.

All parcels are sent through Parcelforce and are delivered between 9am and 6pm on day of delivery. If you aren't at home when your parcel is delivered, a note will be left by your Parcelforce courier - you will need to organise a re-delivery or collection directly following instructions on the card (we are unable to do this for you).
