The Shadowy armchair designed by Tord Boontje for Moroso is made using woven threads normally used for fishing nets, the designs are all different and original, like their names. Handwoven, they are human in their perfections and flaws.
The armchair is composed of a painted steel base and coloured polyethylene threads handwoven and on PVC glides. There are many colour options available. Please see the Product Tech Sheet for more details and contact us for more information on available options.
Tord Boontje is known for his expression of romanticism in contemporary design. Some of his designs are whimsical and light-hearted; at the same time they can connect with strong emotions. Originally from the Netherlands, Boontje’s education at the Eindhoven Design Academy and the Royal College of Art in London set the foundations for Studio Tord Boontje. Established in 1996, the studio has worked with international companies on a range of products that includes lighting, graphic identity, textiles, ceramics, site-specific installations, and furniture.
