The Monuments Magazine Holder, designed by Dubokk for Menu, places our reading habits and intellectual curiosities on display as artwork. Its plinth-like base, made of two identical blocks of marble, imbues the holder with a monumental, architectural feel. The project aims to elevate the magazine holder, giving to this piece of furniture that rarely receives praising, the aesthetic attention it deserves.
Dubokk is a Copenhagen-based creative studio which designs furniture, objects and everything in between. With their educational background Founders and Designers Aleksandar Lazic and Bjarti Á Steig both have a natural curiosity about how objects interact with humans on both a practical and emotional level.
