Winston Daybed / Bench is an elegant yet relaxed daybed or bench designed by Eva Harlou for Mater. The Winston is named after Winston Churchill, reflecting his unique sophisticated style. The Winston Daybed / Bench is a beautiful showcase of traditional craftsmanship, especially the wicker canework, hand-crafted in a third generation wicker workshop in Denmark. The Winston Daybed / Bench works well as a generous bench in a reception area or gallery, or as an indulgent daybed in a living room or conservatory.

The structure of the Winston is made with FSC certified solid oak in natural matt lacquer, with hand-crafted wicker canework stretched across it. The folding cushion is upholstered in natural GOTS certified canvas.

Designer
Eva Harlou is a Danish architect who graduated from the Aarhus School of Architecture in 2003. Eva has been awarded with “Best Breakthrough Designer” by Wallpaper * Magazine in 2007, and she runs her own architectural firm in Copenhagen where she designs both buildings and furniture. She has also hosted a wide range of residential and architectural programs on television.
